A lineup of clients who are either on a wait list or just bursting to sign up to our services, or purchase our products, the minute that you launch a sale or drop a new product, your dream customers are bursting at the seams, they just can’t wait to get their hands on what you’ve created.

And not only who can wait to work for you, but they’ll do the selling for you. They’re the ones that are going to give you insane testimonials. They’re the ones that are going to be telling the other people that they know about your business, because they’re obsessed with your brand, they’re obsessed with you, obsessed with how your brand makes them feel, obsessed with the products and services that you create.

Are you ready?? πββοΈ
1. LESS YOU, MORE THEM
Focus less on yourself and more on your dream customer.
That might sound so simple. But we get so stuck in the trap of really focusing on ourselves, talking about ourselves a lot, focusing on our products, our services, what our business does, and just expecting that because we have a product or service people are just gonna want to purchase. It’s important for us to focus more on our dream customer and to really speak into their struggles, their needs, their desires, speak into the transformation that your product or service is going to bring to their life. It’s important to think less you, more them when it comes to becoming more magnetic in your marketing.
Your attention really needs to be on your dream customer, your focus should be on them, your heart should be for them and to help them and work out what their needs are and how you can fill their needs. Because if you don’t know who it is that you’re serving, then you’re going to really struggle with your marketing. It’s that connection that makes you magnetic in your marketing.
2. NO MORE PERFECT
You really, really need to lose your perfectionism habits.
Perfectionism creates this wall between you and your dream customer that makes it really hard for your dream customer to connect with you on a deeper level. People connect with other people. The connection is actually what leads to an increase in trust, and then obviously, an increase in trust then leads to an increase in loyalty. And that is what leads to someone purchasing your product or service.
If you want to become magnetic in your business, and attract people to your brand, you need to learn how you can lose your perfectionism habits, you need to take more action. It’s better to put more things out into the world that aren’t perfect, rather than put less things out into the world that are perfect. People don’t want to feel like you’re on a pedestal, that they can never be like you, that you’re out of touch with where they are in society and in life, people want to connect with you on a deeper level.
3. OBSESSED OFFERS
If you want to create a magnetic brand that everyone is obsessed with, and can’t wait to purchase from, you need obsessive offers.
You need to create offers that your dream customer doesn’t just need but desperately wants. They can’t wait to get their hands on your offer. To feel like it speaks exactly to them. You can have the best marketing strategy you’ve ever seen or ever created, you can have the best posts on social media. But if you don’t have offers that your dream customer is going to be obsessed with, then you’re not going to be able to sell them. Often we’ll see, especially with service based businesses, is that they start their business and in the first 12 to 24 months, they will often change up their offers a fair bit, because they’re trying to find something that sticks. But if you don’t know how to test properly, and you don’t know how to create an obsessed offer in the first place, then you can end up just flip flopping all the time from this to that and actually not find something that sticks to the wall. This can just lead to frustration in your business, frustration with your brand and not being able to scale or move ahead.
The trick is about finding offers that fulfill the needs of your dream customer. And then working out and testing them. Once you’ve tested them enough to work out what will really stick to the wall, you can formulate messaging that’s going to sell them really well.
4. OWN YOUR MAGIC
Stop trying to be like everyone else and start to own your magic
It is so important to work at what your magic is. What I’m talking about is what sets your brand apart from everyone else in your field? This could be something to do with your brand values, your brand personality, you as the business owner, you location, experience, your brand look, your offer, etc.
I haven’t worked with a business before where there hasn’t been something magic about their brand. Sometimes they just don’t know it yet. But I’ll give you a little tip, something that I find really helps when I’m talking to business owners, and they’re trying to work out what their magic is, is to have a journal about what the one thing is that you have spent most of your life trying to run away from? Because often your magic is in that one thing.
I’ll share a little bit with you about me. I spent a lot of my life growing up being told that I was too much, I was too loud, too outgoing and talked too much. Because of this, I spent a lot of my life growing up trying to dim myself, or make myself smaller so that I could fit better. It was something I really struggled with through a lot of high school and college. And it got to the point where I fully lost my identity, I lost who I was.
When I first started my business, I tried to be like how everyone else tells you that you should run your business. So I was very professional, my colours were very neutral and high end looking and I was very much trying to fit in with the mold that I felt like you had to be to be a successful business. I spent so much time trying to present myself as this professional person and dulled down and hid the more quirky or fun parts of my personality.
It took me a long time to get to the point where I realised I was not being authentic to who I was and this was actually holding me back from being able to do my best work and serve my clients the best I could. Once I realised this, I did a major rebrand and changed my branding to be yellow, bright sunshine colours. I found that my magic was in my personality, the brightness and vibrancy of my personality. My vibe, my energy, the way I teach and inspire and the motivation that I bring to my clients is my magic.

- Focus less on yourself and more on your dream customer.
