It can be so hard to run a business when you are a mum.
You have minimal time to spend just serving your clients, let alone being able to stay on top of your social media so that you can keep growing your business… So you know that finding ways to reduce the time you are spending on your social media is of top priority, because then you can be attracting your dream customers and building your brand while spending most of your time on income-generating activities. Rather than wasting time trying to get your socials perfect!
So keep reading to hear my 10 tips for reducing the amount of time you are spending on your social media!

**1. Refining your dream customer: **
Spend just 30 minutes to refine your dream customer. One struggle I see is not having clarity around your dream customer, what their struggles are, their needs and where they’re at right now on their journey.
Getting clear on this will help you with your content creation as you’ll know who you’re speaking to and how to connect with them.
2. Create your Canva templates now ahead of time:
Create social media templates inside Canva for a whole month, then you can use those templates for your content. Simply change the text and perhaps the image and you’re ready to go!
3. Don’t have time to do Insta stories, just do Boomerangs with text over them
The biggest hack on Insta stories is to do a quick Boomerang such as going for a walk or sitting at your desk and then add text giving value.
4. Don’t have time to do reels, just film short videos and put text over them
Do a quick 7 second video and as above, add text giving value or sharing an experience or advice.
5. Have an idea, voice note it into your phone with Siri, and come back to it later
My best ideas come from walks, while reading or while feeding my baby boy Rivvy. When those ideas come, I voice note them to Siri and refer to them later when I’m sitting down to do my content.
6. Plan it out each week (I use my fearless business planner)
When you are a mum and only have 20minutes here and there to create content, you need to be able to sit down and know exactly what to create straight away. That’s why I plan it out at the start of the week, so it means I am using my time efficiently. I use my Fearless Business Planner to plan it all out.

**7. Take the pressure off **
If you want to create engaging content that will actually convert and grow your business, then you need to have your customer journey defined, have your services align with your customer journey points and create your content to the different stages of the customer journey.

8. Repurpose old content
No it’s not cheating, you created that content. Just revamp it for your current audience.
9. Do some imperfect creating
Set a timer for 30minutes and have a competition with yourself to see how much content you can create in that time. You will be less inclined to film things 10 times or overthink your posts.
10. Outsource
Outsource the admin side or the ideas side. We do this for our clients within our agency, where we just come up with the post ideas and then schedule it all in.
